We get asked this a lot...

In simple terms, an Unlocked phone doesn't come with any restrictions on what network you can use the phone on.  This makes the phone more valuable as you can swap between different carriers depending on which carrier provides the best deal for your sim card.  You will see this reflected in our prices where Unlocked phones are a little more expensive than locked phones.

So I should buy an Unlocked phone then?  No! It's not quite that simple....

You can save some money if you already have a sim card for a particular carrier.  For example, if you have a sim card for AT&T and you intend to stay with AT&T as your carrier then you can select an AT&T locked phone.  You can put your sim card into this locked phone and it will work perfectly for you.

On our product pages you will see the Carrier options we have available.  Just select the Unlocked or Carrier locked version.
